Massage has been reborn as a hands-on stress management technique; not only can it untie physical knots, it can

also clear your head and release the tension/stress often associated with daily activities. People today are

experiencing more stress and discovering that the ancient art of massage may be just what the doctor ordered to

relieve pain, encourage healing, and relax their stressed-out bodies. No stress-reduction program can surpass all

that massage has to offer.  Review the many benefits of massage therapy below. At Penguin Fitness, our massage therapist are versed and skilled in many disciplines: Swedish, Effleurage, Deep Tissue, Japanese Shiatsu, Reciprocal Inhibition, Sports Massage, Hydro Therapy, Trigger Point therapy

HOT ROCK SAUNA

A sauna is a peaceful refuge from the stress of daily living - a soothing, dry heat environment that relaxes and refreshes, to leave you feeling healthier than ever before.

EXPERIENCE THE BENEFITS OF DRY HEAT: 160 - 170 DEGREES

Saunas have been enjoyed for centuries by people throughout the world. Medical research indicates that regular sauna bathing can provide the following health benefits:

  • Relax and relieve tension, headaches, and muscle or joint pain

  • Deep clean the skin by opening pores and sweating

  • Flush impurities and toxins from the body

  • Promote weight loss by increasing metabolism and burning calories

  • Improve blood circulation by raising body temperature and heart rate

  • Accelerate muscle recovery following strenuous exercise

  • Induce a deeper, more relaxing sleep

It's relaxing

and revitalizing!

Dry saunas are also proven to be therapeutic for sinus and nasal stuffiness and congestion.  The dryness of the air unclogs airways for easier breathing.  Asthma sufferers frequent the sauna because of the relief they experience during and after their visit.

A sauna is a dry heat bath taken in a well-insulated room lined with untreated, kiln-dried soft wood and indirectly heated with igneous rocks. Optimal sauna temperatures range from 160° to 190° Fahrenheit. Relative humidity levels, which are controlled by the bather sprinkling water on the hot rocks, range between 10% and 30% depending upon preference. Visit our Photo Gallery to see a large view of the Sauna Room!
